MSc Food Quality Management

The master programme Food Quality Management offers an integrated approach to the study and assess of quality processes in the agrifood chain with exclusively developed techno-managerial approach. The whole supply chain is studied from the primary sector to the final consumer. Besides food, flowers and cattle are also discussed. This two-year MSc gives you the chance of analysing problems using both social and life science and therefore has a higher level of approach on the topics of food quality, quality management, quality design, quality control, quality improvement, quality assurance, quality policy and business strategy.

Having either a managerial or technological background, you can enrol into this multidisciplinary programme. All students have the choice between ten discipline clusters which are packages of subjects that give you a deeper knowledge in a specific field preferred by you. Examples of these fields are food technology, animal sciences, plant sciences, logistics, management, marketing, consumer behaviour and communication. The second year of studies consists of an internship giving practical experience and thesis, in which students put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

The career prospects are of becoming (food) quality management experts able to enter careers in agribusiness, research as well as public administration.
